FUN FACTS
Taste buds tell your brain what they taste. They tell you if the food is sweet, sour, salty, or any other flavors. Those bumps on your tongue have tiny little hairs that tell you.
Fruits are actually superfoods. They are beneficial to your health. Some examples are blueberries, kiwifruit, and pomegranates. Other fruits probably are superfoods too.
Many different fruits also grow on trees. Oranges and apples grow on trees. Other fruits that might be surprising grow on trees. Some of them are apricots, cherries, lemons, limes, coconuts, grapefruits, mangoes, nectarines, peaches, pears, plums, and pomegranates. Fruit tree farms are actually called orchards.
Fruits need lots of different things to make sure they don’t rot to fast. Some need dry air or lots of water. Some fruits contain iron, fiber and/or vitamin c. A fun fact about pomegranates is that they have hundreds of seeds inside them. Small seeds in apples and oranges are called pips, which is another fun fact.
